Frequently Asked Questions.
WHAT IS DECISION FOCUSED EXECUTIVE COACHING FOR HR LEADERS
It’s a form of executive coaching designed specifically for leaders who are making complex, sensitive or high stakes decisions.
I don’t tell you what to do, instead, I help you think clearly, reduce noise, examine assumptions and move forward with confidence.
IS THIS CONSULTANCY OR ADVICE?
No. This is coaching.
I do not provide:
-
legal advice
-
clinical or medical advice
-
HR or capability recommendations
-
operational case direction
You retain full responsibility for decisions and outcomes.
HOW DOES EXECUTIVE COACHING SUPPORT HR WITH COMPLEX ABSENCE CASES?
Complex absence carries emotional weight, ambiguity and risk. Coaching gives you:
-
a confidential space to process complexity
-
structured reflection so you can think clearly
-
a sounding board for difficult decisions
-
calm containment when cases feel overwhelming
Most HR leaders don’t have this space internally.
WILL WE DISCUSS SPECIFIC COMPLEX ABSENCE CASES DURING COACHING?
Yes - but only to support your thinking, not to evaluate or direct the case.
We explore:
-
your perspective
-
your assumptions
-
your boundaries
-
your options
-
your emotional load
We do not produce recommendations or case reports.
IS THIS CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes. All coaching sessions are fully confidential within legal and ethical boundaries. I do not share information with employers or third parties.
DOES COACHING REPLACE OH OR SPECIALIST LEGAL ADVICE IN COMPLEX ABSENCE SITUATIONS?
No. Coaching complements, but does not replace, specialist clinical or legal services.
If a case requires professional medical or legal input, I will encourage you to access the appropriate support within your organisation.
HOW DO YOU WORK WITH ORGANISATIONS OR INDIVIDUALS?
I work with:
-
individual HR leaders (self funded or employer funded)
-
organisations who wish to support HR teams managing complex absence
The coaching relationship remains 1:1 and confidential regardless of funding source.
HOW DO I KNOW IF THIS IS RIGHT FOR ME?
If you are:
-
carrying the weight of difficult absence cases
-
feeling isolated in your decision making
-
navigating ambiguity without a clear sounding board
-
wanting to think more clearly and confidently
…this coaching will help.
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
Six 60 minute sessions over three months, plus optional email check ins.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Simply contact me. We’ll discuss your context, what you’re looking for, and whether coaching is the right next step.
